Fight of the Year
Happy New Year! And Happy New Decade! Here’s hoping it’s prosperous and productive. Thank you all for reading. You may not know it, but you have helped to pull me through a very rough year. I look forward to more of your comments, your Twitterings and your Facebook posts. And if you have friends that need a chuckle during their day, send them over here too. The more the merrier!

HA! Baby New Year looks like a bruiser. I keep thinking of Brutus the Barber Beefcake when I look at the wrestler.

I swear I did not model the wrestler after anyone. Although now that I look at it, I can’t help but think Brock Samson from the Venture Bros. may have been an influence. Don’t tell Cartoon Network!

Wow! That’s the best, most hilarious New Year’s visual I’ve ever seen. I don’t know where you get your ideas from, but don’t ever stop.

Happy New Year, everyone!
I’d also like present a dissenting opinion on whether or not it’s a new decade, as there is no year 0 in the Gregorian Calendar, therefore the first Century started in the year 1, 20th century in 1901, and the 21st century (and 3rd millennium) in the year 2001. So, I’ll be celebrating the new decade in 2011.
Still, I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year, sets reasonable resolutions (or none at all, like myself, haha!) and also DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
Lonnie, I hope your next year (and decade, no matter how you count ‘em) is much better than ’09, and I hope things keep getting better. Also, keep cranking out great, funny, and entertaining comics for us. I don’t always comment, but I always laugh. Thanks for that. Again, Happy New Year! And as always, I leave you with my cheesy catchphrase I coined in the 90s: Surf Wisely!

George – Thanks! I don’t know where you get your ideas from either, and that makes me happy.
Kon – They’ll never find me in my giant floating cocoon (oops!)
Eliza – Thank you! And one of the best things about 2009 was becoming your friend.
Bearman – Thanks! It’s going to be hard for 2010 NOT to be better than 2009. If that makes sense.
David and MidwestMom – Thanks, and a Happy New Year to you too!
dolst – Thanks for that, but when I start saying “twenty-ten” instead of “two-thousand ten” then that means a change in decade to me. Because lord knows I need it! I love your comments and I’m glad you’re still laughing. Look forward to seeing you next year.
SpilledInkGuy – And stamp your foot down as soon as you hit him! Thanks!
